When you book a holiday to Magaluf, Majorca you know you’re going to get sun, sea and plenty of sangria, but what else is there to do on the island? If you’re looking for fun days out and something to do on your holiday other than simply sunbathing all day, here are a couple of ideas for you which should easily fill a day or two when you get bored of lounging by the pool.
Based in the Magaluf area of Majorca, Katmandu Park is an interactive theme park that’s a fun day out for people of all ages but especially for kids. The upside down house is especially good and will keep adults as entertained as the children and the interactive aquarium is a uniquely fascinating experience too. You can carve your names in the Ice Cave, battle with hurricanes and pass through the musical ‘enchanted’ forest as well as playing golf in Expedition Golf or the themed mini golf course.
If you think you’ll come back to an attraction like this then the Katmandu Passport is probably the best value for money in terms of ticket choices, as it offers a 30% discount off normal admission prices and lets you come back any time throughout your stay.
Less than a mile away from Katmandu Park is the Don Bigote hotel which is popular with groups of friends in particular but also caters to families and couples. This particular hotel is also less than half a mile away from another of Magaluf’s top daytime attractions: Golf Fantasia mini golf course.
Golf Fantasia is another good place to visit if you want to spend a day away from the pool or beach. Set in tropical gardens, the 18-hole mini golf course is dotted with waterfalls and lagoons filled with fish and turtles, so it feels wonderfully serene and relaxing. Mini golf is ideal for families as you don’t have to be a golfing pro to have a go, so kids won’t be bored out of their minds in the way they probably would be with regular golf.
The course is open from May to October from 10am until late and is only metres from the beach, so you can combine a trip to the beach with half a day mini-golfing if you choose. Whether you choose to spend a full day at Golf Fantasia or not there’s a bar for snacks, meals, beer and cocktails here.
